The stand also carries arrangements that can help you hide all the cable clutter from the ports. Speaking of which, most of the connectivity ports are placed on the left for easy access. You can reach them with minimum effort even when the TV is wall-mounted.
The remote is pretty standard. It’s thin and comes with small buttons. If you have big fingers you might find it a little annoying to use the directional keys. We found ourselves hitting the buttons around it. There are abundant options here. You get three HDMI ports which should be enough for most homes. One of the ports also supports ARC which is mentioned in the list of sources. For those who don’t know, ARC allows you to send audio from the TV to the home theatre and vice-versa using that cable. The LG UJ7700 is a good, versatile “4k” UHD TV. The UJ7700 is really the entry model into the high end of the LED-LCD TVs offered by LG. Its excellent smart features make it quite versatile. It uses an alternate pixel structure (RGBW) which results in less accurate display of fine details. The design of the UJ7700 is quite basic, the TV looks quite sleek, with accented edges.

The stand is almost as wide as the TV itself, which may be an issue for those with smaller tables. It looks quite good though and does support the TV well. The plastic has a silver accent which sets them apart a bit from low end TVs.  The TV is warmest at the bottom of the screen, where the backlight LEDs are located. The LG UJ7700LED TVhas an ordinary picture quality. LG’s UJ7700 uses an IPS (in-plane-switching) panel, albeit a new one for 2017/2018. The IPS panel allows for much better picture quality from side angles without degrading color saturation and contrast much. This is one of the standout features of this TVs picture quality. There are still weaknesses in both with side angle viewing as contrast degrades, but generally the IPS panel is 20%-30% better from angles than non-IPS panel LED TVs. Reflections are also subdued by the IPS panel and front substrate. Colors do to render more depth and slightly better saturation in these new 4K HDR models.

Previous Zenbooks sported a pattern of concentric circles on the hood in one way or another and that particular detail is gone here, leaving a smooth, plain metallic lid cover that feels a lot like the ones on the Apple Macbook Air or the Dell XPS 13. The only element breaking the spartan design is the shiny logo. We do have what Asus calls the Aurora Metallic version here, but they’ll also offer a darker color scheme called Obsidian Stone, which will feature the rippled pattern.

 

     The entire body is made out of aluminum, which covers the hood, the interior and the belly. In fact, the only plastic element is the bezel around the screen, flanked by a thin layer or protective rubber, meant to ensure that the display won’t get in contact with the laptop’s body when the screen is closed.The inner chassis is partially cast out of metal as well, so when it comes to durability and build quality, the UX303LA is tough. Yes, there’s still some flex on the lid and especially in the keyboard area, but nothing that could be of any concern in daily use or could jeopardize the components inside. The screen is hold in place by a long hinge stretching across the laptop’s length, an approach borrowed from previous Zenbooks. One thing is different though: I could effortlessly lift the screen with a single hand, while the lower-body remained still on the table, something Macbook users are for sure familiar with, but at the same time is a rarity on Windows ultrabooks.
